Talent Pool - Principle Well Engineer/Deep Water Well Specialist - Rio de Janeiro/RJ

Provide leadership in driving and monitoring implementation of operational/engineering improvement initiatives/best practices and capturing lesson learnt. 

1. Responsible for technical aspect of well engineering related matters throughout the well planning and construction;
2. Proactively identifying technical requirement and value creation opportunities in his area of expertise;
3. Provide technical guidance and advice in area of specialization (e.g. technical support in deep water problem and challenge);
4. Network with technical experts for continuous technical development and advancement;
5. Seek and introduce best practices/technology Innovative ideas and work processes;
6. Participate and contribute in Community of Practices (CoP);
7. Participate and share knowledge of best practices within the industry and higher institutions (e.g. write and publish technical journal/present papers and be involved in professional bodies/external committees);
8. Keep drilling management advised on progress of drilling activities;
9. Enforce operational, safety, and environmental policies and procedures;
10. Mentoring drilling engineer.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Minimum a B.S. degree in Engineering;
• Ten (10) years of experience in drilling engineering and operation with minimum 5 years’ experience in deep water;
• Availability to go to rig site as required;
• Full knowledge of the Landmark drilling package;
• Familiar floater drilling rig units;
• Fluent in English;
• BOSIET and IWCF level 4 certification;
• Experience in offshore Brazil Deep Water planning and operation is not a must have but will be viewed advantageousl.
